Terabox is a cloud storage service. You upload files such as photos, videos and documents to online storage, then reach them from a phone or computer, or share them with other people through a link. If you landed here because someone sent you a Terabox link, this guide explains what you are looking at.
What Terabox is used for
- Backing up files: photos and videos can be copied from a phone to online storage.
- Sharing large files: instead of attaching a big video to a message, people send a link to it.
- Accessing files anywhere: the same files are available in the app and in a web browser.
How a Terabox share link works
When the owner shares a file or folder, Terabox creates a link that contains a share code. Anyone with the link can open the share page, unless the owner added a password. The page lists the files, and the recipient can view or save them.
Free and paid plans
Terabox offers a free plan with a generous storage allowance and paid plans with more features. Limits such as ads and transfer speed differ between plans and change over time, so check the current details in the app before you decide.
Opening a link without the app
You do not have to install Terabox just to open a link someone sent you. Paste it into the Terabox video downloader or the file downloader and the file list opens in your browser. For more on this see how to open a Terabox link without the app.
Things to be careful about
Anyone can upload anything and share a link, so treat files from strangers with care. Our guide on whether Terabox is safe has a short checklist.
FAQ
Is Terabox free?
There is a free plan. Paid plans add features, and the exact limits can change, so check the app for current details.
Do I need an account to open a Terabox link?
Not when you use a browser based downloader on a public share. The owner decides who can see a share, and password protected shares need the password.
